The ThinkPad tablet is based on Android 3.1, runs on NVIDIA’s 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor, sports a 10.1-inch scratch-resistant Gorilla glass display, a USB port, a mini HDMI port, comes with Adobe Flash support and SD card slot. It features a front-facing 2.0 megapixel camera and a 5.0 megapixel camera at the back. With the ThinkPad Digitizer pen, you can write and take notes in your own handwriting on your tablet. The tablet will be launched in a few countries by next month.
The IdeaPad K1, just like the ThinkPad is also an Android 3.1 tablet and runs on NVIDIA’s 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor. It sports a 10.1-inch HD display, is 13.3 mm thick, has flash support, an HDMI port, comes pre-loaded with more than 30 apps and offers connectivity features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The tablet sports a 5.0 megapixel camera at the back and a front-facing 2.0 megapixel camera. The IdeaPad K1 tablet is up for sale from Lenovo’s official website, the 32GB Wi-Fi only version costs $499 and the 16GB Wi-Fi only version costs $479. The company has also mentioned in the press release that 3G versions will also be launched shortly.
The IdeaPad P1 operates on Windows 7 and will only be launched in selected regions in Q4 this year. It is 14.5mm thick, is based on Intel’s 1.5Ghz processor, sports a 10.1-inch multi-touch display, comes pre-installed with Microsoft Security Essentials and also has USB and micro SD card slots. Users can also buy the optional stylus pen.
