What is "Do Something Awards" ?

"Do Something Awards" is a award ceremony which is introduced by "Do Something" Organization. "Do Something" motivates and helps young people(age 25 and under 25) rock causes they care about. By leveraging the web, television, mobile, and pop culture, "Do Something" Organization inspires, empowers and celebrates a generation of doers.

The "Do Something Award" is the premier national award for community service where nominees and winners represent the pivotal doers in their field, cause, or issue.

The top 5 Do Something Award receive a $10,000 community grant, while the grand prize winner receives a $100,000 community grant to push forward their projects.

DoSomething.org(Official Website of Do Something Org)  and VH1 announce GLEE Star "Jane Lynch" will host their "Do Something Awards" ceremony.

Stars like Demi Lovato, OneRepublic and B.o.B will perform in the ceremony. This is the first time when Demi Lovato will perform her hit single “Skyscraper” live.

The Star-Studded "Do Something Awards" airing on VH1(Partner of DoSomething.org) at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California.

The "Do Something Awards" will be broadcast on August 18th, 2011 August 18th, 2011 on VH1.
